The Night watch is a key "front line" contact for the
passenger to reach the maximum guest satisfaction.
Similar to duties at the front desk of a fine hotel, the
night watch provides guest services, information, runs
the night audit, assists with resolving minor guest
complaints and any additional administrative duties
that may be assigned by the Purser. He/She maintains
safety and quietness in guest and crew areas and is
familiar with safety and security.
The night watch maintains a calm, courteous and professional demeanor at all times regardless of the guest's behavior. At times, the job may be stressful due
to interaction with many different people with different types of personalities, and being expected to perform
multiple tasks quickly. Personal qualities that a night watch is expected to have in order to do the job
successfully include: attentiveness, a well groomed appearance, initiative, loyalty, maturity, respect for
confidentiality and discretion, a positive attitude and dependability.
